What's with the name "Pine Cellar"?
It's a four part answer:
First, it's a play on the term "wine cellar," which not only seemed catchy but like a wine cellar, the "Pine Cellar" will be a place where we look at things that may (or may not) have aged well (regarding the UX review aspect of my video game streams).
Second, I wanted to convey somewhere cozy to talk and play video games and I immediately thought of wood paneled basements that were so popular in the 1970s (which is an aesthetic I'm obsessed with, in case you couldn't tell).
Third, pine trees mean a lot to me. They are a part of my family name and I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia where pine trees grow like weeds. I even have a pine tree tattoo!
Fourth, it also has a creepy connotation (like a basement or a dungeon), which applies to my main YouTube content.

Wow, you are terrible at this game. Why are you playing it?
Haha, I know. This channel isn't about showing off my mediocre gameplay but more about discussing the history, lore, and design of games I play. So, please be patient with me.

What resolution are you playing in?
Unless there are issues with the stream, I will be playing in 4k, because I love good looking graphics while I play. I also have a 144Hz, 4k monitor, so I intend to use it to its fullest capabilities. The stream is max 1080p, so unfortunately you won’t see the amazing detail I’ll be seeing.

I love your (insert stream/video asset). Did you make it? If so, can you design my (insert project) for me?
Thank you and yes, I made all of my branding via Adobe Fresco, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere Pro. At this time, I am sticking with my own projects as I also have a full time job which takes most of my focus.

What's that rad song at the beginning of your stream?
I get all my music from Artlist, as I want to avoid copyright issues and it's got a solid collection (and the best usage agreement anywhere). The song that I chose as the Pine Cellar theme is "Try so Hard" by Aves ft. Bel-Ami.

What are your tattoos?
I have a pine tree with the moon shining behind it on my left forearm, which represents the verse in "Georgia On My Mind" where Ray Charles sings "...Like moonlight through the pines." I have a larger, currently unfinished piece on my right upper arm that is a long beloved DnD character fighting a pillar of dire rats.

Is that a cat? Why doesn't he have an eye?
Yes, that is Mr. Business aka Biz (named after ones of Gayle’s cats in Bob’s Burgers). He's a 6 years old, FIV+, orange tabby, and he's been missing his eye since we adopted him 4 years ago. His loves include yelling for attention, leashed outside time, and playing on his Ripple Rug. He now has a new tuxedoed playmate named Cary, named after actor Cary Grant.
